Our first gala fundraising benefit was held October 25th, 2008 at the beautiful Green Space Studio in Long Island City. The Eye: The Photography of Rob Zukowski attracted art and theater lovers alike who came out to support this first-ever gallery showing of Zukowski's brilliant work. The evening, which featured an incredible assortment of foods, desserts and libations, raised funds for Black Henna Productions and their upcoming NYC revival of Harvey Fierstein's
Torch Song Trilogy, opening January 19th at American Theater of Actors.
If you weren't able to attend this flagship event, we hope you will look for upcoming benefits large and small which will be helping us promote the very simple concept that we as artists and art lovers are responsible for the care and feeding of the process of creating works of art in every magical form they take.
We look forward to working with our next creative beneficiary, Archbishop Molloy High School's Stanner Players - an underfunded drama program that is shaping the lives, the talents, and the creative passions of young stage artisans on what can only be called the most modest of shoestring budgets.Stay tuned for upcoming event info!
